A "Golden" Opportunity
In the early ‘90s, founder Dan Mueller was involved in the mining industry and noticed, a thick protective paste being applied to hands for use underneath gloves, as a second line of defense. This defense was necessary as strong acids and other nasty chemicals are frequently used in gold mining.
Therefore, a big concern is that industrial gloves can develop a pin hole, and leak these chemicals into the gloves holding them against the skin, which could easily cause severe skin damage.
Dan realized that a product that protected the skin like this “thick, protective paste”, but was user friendly and cosmetically elegant, would be extremely beneficial.
An Innovation Is Born
He went to work on a product that could be used by anyone whose skin was exposed to the many thousands of chemicals and irritants that are found at home and the workplace. It would have to be practical and user friendly and not leave huge, messy fingerprints on anything touched.
With the help of several doctors and formulating chemists, Dan developed a lotion that has so much affinity with the skin cells of the outermost layer of skin that it actually bonds to them, turning the outer layer of skin into what could be described as an invisible pair of gloves. It is so cosmetically elegant that is becomes virtually undetectable rapidly and comes off naturally with exfoliating skin cells.
An Unexpected Treatment
This product, Gloves In A Bottle, was originally sold in hardware, paint, art supply stores, garden centers and other specialty shops; anywhere selling products that you would not want to have on your skin.
At that time an article appeared in a boat building/maintenance magazine that was read by a dermatologist who was having a lot of trouble treating one of his patients with occupational dermatitis. Gloves In A Bottle worked so well on that patient, that the dermatologists decided to try it on his other patients with eczema, psoriasis or dry, cracked, irritated skin, whom had not been responding well to traditional treatments.
Better Than A Lotion
Ever since that time, dermatologists, as well as their patients report, what always seems like a startling number of cases where Gloves In A Bottle enhances the protective qualities of the outer layer of skin so well that it effectively keeps moisture-robbing irritants and elements out, while helping to retain the skin’s own natural moisture. Thus making conventional lotions and creams that moisturize artificially, virtually obsolete for them.
The sheer number of these reports soon made us realize that Gloves In A Bottle, because it works differently by design, is a far better alternative to conventional moisturizing lotions and creams that all too often cause skin to become dependent upon them.
